Faith is from Houston, Texas. She currently resides in Austin where she attends The University of Texas at Austin. At UT Austin, Faith is a senior majoring in Petroleum Engineering and minoring in African and African Diaspora Studies. Faith has interned for various energy corporations ranging from Chevron to ExxonMobil. She hopes to continue developing her experience after graduating in May of 2018.

Diversity and inclusion in higher education is one of Faith’s passions. She works at her university to improve diversity and inclusion in the college of engineering, and is developing initiatives to help NSBE become more inclusive of the LGBTQ community as well as members with disabilities. Traveling the world is also one of Faith’s hobbies. She has traveled throughout Europe and the Caribbean, and has plans to embark on a 5 month term in Latin America. There, she will perform research on renewable energy at Pontifica Universidad Catolica de Chile in Santiago, Chile.

Faith’s NSBE leadership experience began her freshman year when she was elected to serve as Chair of the UT Austin NSBE chapter’s First Year Action Team. From there, Faith continued leading her chapter by serving as Secretary, Vice Chair, and Chair throughout the years. She joined the Region V Executive Board as the Texas Zone Chair before becoming the National Membership chair on the National Executive Board. Faith is excited to serve NSBE on the national level as Membership Chair.
