Zaire Silvia
National Technical Outreach for Community Help Chairperson

Zaire Silvia is an alumna of Tuskegee University where she received her Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering. She is currently a Systems Engineer at Rockwell Collins.

Zaire is the 2017-2018 National TORCH Chair. She has also served as the Secretary of the Tuskegee University Chapter as well as Region III TORCH Chair, and National TORCH Chairperson for 2016-2017. She chose NSBE leadership because NSBE provides the opportunity to give back to her community in areas that are important to her. Growing up with a learning disability called Dyslexia wasn’t easy and having NSBE members come to her school to volunteer with students like her was an eye opener for Zaire.  From that moment, Zaire knew that she had to make sure she would give back to her community. Her focus in school changed to make a better community for students like her and she knew she couldn’t do it without being in leadership.

Zaire’s favorite quote is “Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon” - Paul Brandt
