38th Annual Convention is in Pittsburgh, PA. March 28th - April 1st, 2012 The Annual Convention is the premiere event for the organization which encompasses members from around the world. During the convention there will be various programs and workshops that will be in place to benefit grade school, collegiate, graduate, technical professional, and international entities of the Society. The convention will showcase the NSBE culture, achievements of the membership, local and nationwide talent, and black-owned businesses in the Pittsburgh area. Dominion to Honor Six in 22nd Annual "Strong Men & Women: Excellence in Leadership" Series
Dominion, one of the nation's largest energy producers, honors Dr. Carl B. Mack and five other renowned African Americans selected for their accomplishments and leadership through its 22nd annual Strong Men & Women: Excellence in Leadership educational series. Strong Men & Women highlights the accomplishments of selected African-American role models and tells their stories in an educational series distributed during Black History Month to more than 3,000 schools across Dominion's natural gas and electric franchise service areas in Virginia, northeastern North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
