Pre-College Initiative Conference Coordinator Welcome Letter
Greetings,
NSBE’s mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. What better way to positively impact the community than having the future leaders or our nation and world convene in an environment that provides inspiration, and fosters teamwork and leadership. I’m Cavon Cormack, your 2012 Pre-College Initiative (PCI) Mini-Conference Coordinator, and I take tremendous pleasure in inviting you to join me in Pittsburgh, PA as we gather to celebrate a continued fulfillment of NSBE’s mission at the 2012 Annual Convention. The 2012 PCI Mini-Conference promises to be like none other, with highlights including but not limited to:
- PCI Conference Kickoff Breakfast
- PCI NSBE’s Got Talent
- Interactive, engaging, and educational workshops
- Engineering Design Challenge
- College and Company Tours
- A tour of Pittsburgh’s famous Carnegie Science Center
You can also look forward to greater interaction between our collegiate, technical professional, and alumni members.
The PCI Conference Planning Committee wants to see the City of Pittsburgh PACKED; packed with talented, inspired, and determined PCI members. Let’s make this convention a memorable one as we show Pittsburgh and the rest of NSBE that their future is in good hands. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at CCormack@nsbe.org, and be sure to regularly check the convention website for updates on everything PCI related. I look forward to seeing you in “Steel City!
Warmest Regards,
Cavon Cormack
