By going to school free of charge. Yes! Free of charge; zero dollars. Attend this workshop and learn about all the resources at your disposable that allow you to attend college for absolutely free!

There’s Engineering in That?

Engineering only happens in labs and classrooms. Right? Think again! Learn about how engineering can be found in sports and everyday life. In fact, a Chemical Engineer most likely worked on the developing that double sided scotch tape you use to put up your favorite poster. Definitely attend this workshop to learn how universal the field of engineering is and to see why an Engineer's work is never finished.

Boeing Flight Competition

“The Anatomy of an Airplane” is a three part series workshop meant to introduce our NSBE Jr. students to the basic concepts of aeronautical engineering by allowing them to design, build and fly balsa wood airplanes. The series will be educational, interactive, and most of all fun for the students.

Cartoon Physics

If you have ever seen Phineas and Ferb you know that the main plot of the show is how these two stepbrothers try to make their summer vacation is less boring. They achieve this by building things ranging from robot duplicates of themselves to creating the best roller coaster ever. Their engineering skills and resources are limitless. Now it’s your turn to think outside of the box and create something amazing, from a mini hovercraft to underwater fireworks. The design opportunities are boundless!

Robotics Entrepreneurship Challenge

Enjoy the mechanical experience of robotics? Want to learn more about how they work? Ever think about how or why we use machines in the work environment? Come participate in the Robotics Entrepreneurship Challenge and find out what it is like to build a robotic arm to complete a particular task. Compete in a team to design a robotic arm which you will then market to a designated field of industry (i.e. Medical, Maritime, Transportation, etc). Download the Toolkit
