How can I become a member?
To become a member simply go to the “account log-in” box on the right hand side of the homepage and click the “join” button next to “not a member?”.

  • Fill in the following forms as appropriate and please note the following:
    • Membership type is broken down into three main categories
      • Pre-collegiate (PCI) -Primary to secondary school students
      • Collegiate -People who are pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees
      • NSBE Professionals-People who are pursuing graduate degrees or who have graduated from college. Advisors would also be classified as NSBE Professionals

What happened to NSBE Online (NOL)?
NSBE Online (NOL) is no longer NSBE’s management tool. The new system is now found directly on our National website. Simply login! Your email address continues to be your login. If it is your first time logging into the new system, simply click the Forgot Password link and follow the instructions.

Is there a paper application?
We do not offer a paper application. NSBE’s application process is completely automated so that we may service our members in a more efficient manner. Should you need assistance in completing your membership application online, contact us at membership@nsbe.org.

Why am I not receiving e-mails from NSBE?
Your email application or provider may be automatically filtering out NSBE e-mails if it does not recognize them. Please check your spam or junk folders, and make sure to add the ‘nsbe.org’ domain to your safe senders list. NSBE is working to reduce the number of e-mails you receive as a member, so you can expect a refined, efficient e-mail experience.

Can I access my member account if I no longer have access to the email address listed?
Yes, you can simply log into your account utilizing the email address and update your email address under “Your Profile,” but if you need assistance changing your password and do not have access to that e-mail address, e-mail membership@nsbe.org.

I am a NSBE member and also help my company to recruit during NSBE conferences. Do I need to maintain separate accounts?
No. NSBE’s membership system allows you to maintain one account where you can link your employer affiliation and maintain your personal information. Your organization will be able to register and/or pay for your NSBE activities if needed, with no problem. Please work with your organizational representative to make sure that you are listed as an individual under the company’s profile.

How can I update my contact/membership information and email address?
Log in with your original email address and password you used when you set up your membership or user account. Click on “Your Profile” under Membership Info and make the appropriate changes. Make sure to click “Post Changes” at the bottom of your screen AND review/confirm the changes you just made by clicking “Post Changes” again. This will allow you to update all of your information.
We recommend you update your profile on at least an annual basis.

How can I change my chapter affiliation?
Once you are logged in, click on “Your Profile” under Membership Info and click “Change SIGs/Chapter” to change your chapter. Be sure to confirm all changes and verify that the edit took place.

I need a new membership card. What do I do?
As part of NSBE’s effort to go green, we have discontinued mailing out individual membership cards. Upon logging in, click on the Menu, click on “Your Profile” and “View Membership Card.” You can print this card out any time as proof of membership. NOTE: you must be an active member of NSBE to see your membership card.

I have received the Recent Graduate credit for a free NSBE Professionals membership and I am still in school or entering graduate school. Can I remain a collegiate member?
Yes you can maintain your collegiate status. Simply send an e-mail to membership@nsbe.org and be sure to list the chapter you want to be affiliated with. You will be notified to log in and pay the collegiate dues to activate your membership and to update your membership information with your new date for graduation.

How will you know if I have graduated and am eligible for the FREE NSBE Professionals membership?
We are psychic. But to verify our predictions, it is important that you update your profile with your accurate graduation date information. We use this date combined with your current status (Collegiate member) to renew you at the Recent Graduate NSBE Professional rate.

I am interested in becoming a Lifetime member, but cannot pay all of my money at one time. Does NSBE offer a payment plan?
Yes, you can pay your $1200 Lifetime membership fee in increments that suit your needs. To maintain active member status, make sure that you have paid your current member dues in the demographic that fits you (Collegiate, NSBE Professional, etc.). If you complete your lifetime membership fee payments within the same fiscal year, your annual dues will automatically be applied to your lifetime membership fee. To get started, e-mail membership@nsbe.org.

General Event Registration
If the event that you are registering for allows Pre-College and Chaperone registration, you will need to first bypass that page. If you are NOT going to be registering as a chaperone, simply select “No” and press “Continue” to complete your registration.

How do I register a guest to accompany me to an event?
For events that allow guest registration, there will be an option to register others when you select your own registration. Change that option to “Yes” and when you continue to the next step, you will have the option to select your guests from the system or to create a new account for him/her. The guest registration types/rates will be in the drop down once you select your individual(s)

How is Chapter Management different in IMPAK?
For increased security, some functionality for chapter management was not migrated to the new system. Here is an overview of how chapter officers can manage chapters in IMPAK:

  • Making payments for chapter members: Chapter officers can make payments on behalf of its members. Those members must have existing invoices to whatever activity needs to be paid for (membership/registration/etc.). From the Menu, go to Your Chapter > View/Pay Invoices and select the appropriate invoices that will be paid
  • Re-chartering chapter annually: Re-chartering on an annual basis simply requires that your chapter update its officers for the new fiscal year. For instructions on how to re-charter officers each year, go to the Membership Downloads section of the website and click on the Chapter Officer Appointment Instructions
  • Creating chapter level events/surveys: Due to security and reliability issues, NSBE no longer permits chapters to create events or surveys within the system
  • Membership reports/E-mails: From the Menu, go to Your Chapter > View Members. On the right hand side, chapter officers can toggle the view between all chapter members, active members, and inactive members. E-mails can no longer be sent through the system, but we provide access to Chapter member email addresses so that you can extract them and send through your own email service provider
  • Managing Documents: Chapter officers can ADD/replace your chapter constitution at any time

Can I still join NSBE even if there isn’t a chapter in my area?
