First Lego League

First Lego League - Middle School

FLL challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. During NATURE’S FURY teams will build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. They will also choose and solve a real-world problem in the project. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under FLL’s signature set of Core Values. Learn more here

FIRST LEGO League qualifiers will take place at the 2013 Fall Regional Conferences in November. The top two teams, at each regional conference, will advance to compete at NSBE's annual convention. This year, the team who wins at the annual convention will participate in FIRST’s Championship tournament in St. Louis, MO – April 2014.

No registration fees are due, from your chapter, for FIRST FLL. However you will be responsible for the cost of field kits and any extra parts you may elect to purchase for your robot. Only ONE team per chapter is eligible to register through NSBE. Additional registrations are at the chapter's expense.

Program Rules

NSBE's FIRST LEGO League rule book will be available September 2, 2013. Additional teams will be at the expense of the chapter. 7-10 business days after you register, your chapter will be given next steps on how to receive a package of 2013-2014 materials to get started with the program. In the meantime, visit the FLL page on this year's challenge: Nature's Fury to get an overview of the 2013 challenge.
