For children grade K-4, FIRST® LEGO® League Junior (FLL Jr.) young children's curiosity and directs it toward discovering the wonders of science and technology. This program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored through research, teamwork, construction, and imagination. Throughout the program year, adult coaches guide teams building a moving model made of LEGO® bricks to and developing a Show Me Poster to illustrate their journey. NSBE’s FLL Jr. showcase takes place at the Annual Convention. Students must be a participant of an active NSBE Jr. chapter.

Participants get to: 

1.) Design and build a challenge-related model using LEGO® components 
2.) Create a Show Me Poster and practice presentation skills 
3.) Explore challenges facing today"s scientists 
4.) Discover real-world math and science Begin developing teamwork skills 
5.) Engage in team activities guided by Jr. FLL Core Values 

Eligibility and Requirements:

1.) All participants must be participants of an active NSBE Jr. chapter. 
2.) Grades: K-4
3.) Attending the 44th Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, PA. 
4.) Teams: Minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 6 students. 
5.) Chapter advisor and team coach must participate in the "FIRST Youth Protection Program". (This designation is valid for three years from the time you are cleared through FIRST.)
