‘NSBE 50’
Annual Employer Preference Survey

In addition to providing their opinions in the survey about a variety of recruiting practices, NSBE members, during the registration process, also selected the companies for whom they would most like to work. In 2012, The Boeing Company returns to the top 10 as the leader of the pack, up 18 places from its 2010 rank and appearing at No. 1. Second is Apple, falling by one place from 2010. Third place is held by Google, which rose three places in the top 10. Much of the list remains relatively unchanged: GE rose from No. 7 to No. 4, Exxon Mobil Corporation dropped from 2 to 5, and NASA dropped from 4 to 7. AT&T experienced a noteworthy drop: after ranking at No. 8 in 2010, it dropped to No. 22 in the current survey. BP is a newcomer to the top 10, entering at No. 10. Perhaps the Gulf cleanup efforts have created new opportunities for NSBE members, overshadowing the bad press the company received from the spill.
