Robert Williston Jr. was born in Hartford, CT and is the oldest of three boys. His exposure to S.T.E.M. from an early age served as an inspiration to pursue a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in December 2005.

Currently he serves as a Structures Engineer for Pratt & Whitney (a United Technologies Company), where he has been working for 8 years, and was part of a team of inventors receiving a U.S. patent in June 2014.

As an active NSBE Professional member Robert has served a number of roles on the E-board of his local chapter SNEATP, and most recently completed his term as the 2013 – 2014 Chair of the organization. During his term as chair his chapter was acknowledged with the College Initiative Chapter of the Year award and he was acknowledged with a leadership award by Region 1. He has now moved on to serve as College Initiative Chair on the Region 1 NSBE Professionals Executive Board and Chair Emeritus for SNEATP.

Robert likes to spend his free time DJing, where he goes by the stage name “Rob Da Hitman”. His involvement with the art for over a decade has allowed him to play for numerous occasions including NSBE events at the local, regional, and national levels.
