About the Mentors

Prior to joining the firm, Bill co-founded and was managing principal of Pendleton Solutions Group LLC, a professional services firm providing change management, process improvement, and business transformation services. He galvanized teams and organizations to improve and optimize work processes to deliver sustainable cost savings, identify revenue opportunities, and improve profitability. Bill has held a number of executive-level roles with demonstrated success leading organizations to exceed business objectives in the telecommunications, education, service, manufacturing, and technology industries. A passionate change agent, Bill leads, inspires and teaches to deliver business and employee growth. He is highly effective at solving complex business problems and ensuring improvements realized are consistently maintained.

Previous executive leadership roles include principal at Akela Corporation, senior vice president of operations at APC Workforce Solutions (dba ZeroChaos), chief operating officer at Carter Brothers Technology, group general manager at ADT Security Services, regional vice president-network services at XO Communications, general manager strategic sourcing and shared services at AT&T, and general manager customer service at Ameritech.

Education: 
Bill holds a masters degree in business administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from The University of Akron. He is pursuing a doctorate in education from The University of Pennsylvania.

Raheem has developed vast expertise in balancing strategy and pragmatic “hands-on” go-to-market program execution across product management, portfolio marketing, planning and program management. He has served in progressive positions for a number of large global organizations as well as start-up ventures, relevant experience includes:
  • Successfully launched the industry's first professional association dedicated and focused on robotic process automation.  In three years grew revenues at a rate of 71% CAGR.
  • Leading the North American Marketing & Communications operations for a $500M division of Siemens
  • Executing a global go-to-market program to establish a consistent global brand identity for Siemens’ outsourcing business the initiative yielded over $3B in new total contract value revenue
  • Leading the strategic planning and execution of the Outsourcing and Consulting Services product marketing roadmaps
  • Developing and implementing one of the company’s first formal Service Offering and Product Development Methodologies, the process ensured a uniformed approach to and launch/rollout of new service products
As the Owner and Principal Consultant at Hasan Consulting Partners, Raheem consults on strategy, go-to-market program development, management and execution.  Typical clients have a high growth agenda or a transformation mandate.  

Client engagements include:
  • Solvati, a privately held data analytics and machine learning software company that helps sales and marketing teams make sense out of their numerous silos of data by enriching that data with information from both inside and outside of their CRM systems.  His role is to develop and build a partner ecosystem and channel programs. 
  • The Institute for Robotic Process Automation & Artificial Intelligence (IRPA-AI), an independent professional association and knowledge forum for the buyers, sellers, influencers and analysts of process automation and artificial intelligence solutions..  My role was to develop and grow the IRPA-AI brand, build a media/events business, establish a suite of advisory/consulting services as well as establish key industry relationships across the automation ecosystem.
Additionally, Raheem has held roles at IBM, General Electric as well as a number of start-ups.  He spent 13 years at Siemens IT Solutions and Services as the company’s Senior Director, Marketing, Communications and Analyst Relations where he ran the North American Marketing operations.

Alana Ward Robinson is a transformative information technology executive with over 30 years of experience increasing value in organizations with breakthrough applications of emerging technologies to support changing business models. Throughout her career, she has built successful business-aligned IT organizations within Fortune 1000 companies, specifically large manufacturers and healthcare (payer) companies. She is recognized for her expertise in developing and gaining consensus, whether that is through implementing technologies that enable bold transformation initiatives, obtaining buy-in from peer leadership on mutual success metrics, or breaking down silos to develop and deliver integrated business process and technology solutions across the enterprise.
 
Ms. Robinson founded Robinson Group Consulting (RGC) in 2004. The firm specializes in interim CIO leadership, enterprise-level IT strategy, risk management and implementation of business process improvement solutions that leverage technology as a tool for digital innovation, strategic decision-making and achieving streamlined operational efficiencies. The RGC client portfolio is diverse and includes clients in global supply chain and logistics, banking, and most recently, a $16B healthcare payer where RGC was engaged to provide executive oversight for the systems migration of over 2M+ members to a new operating platform.

Ms. Robinson began her career by designing and implementing technology solutions at IBM Corporation. Over the next 18-years, she held a variety of roles with increasing responsibility ranging from Systems Engineer to Branch Manager. As a general manager, Robinson led the IBM Public Sector P&L across CO, WY and NE with consistent YOY growth. At Public Service Company of Colorado, Alana established a Sales and Marketing division to compete in an impending deregulated utility market. In the CIO role, she became one of the pioneers in implementing ERP solutions (SAP) as a pathway to standardize enterprise business processes and improve operational efficiencies, which resulted in significant cost savings. As a senior executive, Robinson led business transformation initiatives within Pace Membership Warehouse (CIO), Coors Brewing Company (CIO), Sara Lee Hosiery (CIO), and at RR Donnelley (SVP – Manufacturing Operations), where she led a $100M global transformation initiative across six (6) lines-of-businesses resulting in significant operational efficiencies and $82M+ in sustainable cost savings.

She is experienced in board governance of civic and not-for-profit organizations, including: 2014 – Present, World Food Programme (Rome, Italy) – IT Advisory Board; 2015 – present, National Small Business Council and National Small Business Technology Council; 2013 – 2015, LEAD Program; 2009 – 2014, The National Hospice Foundation; 2000 – 2012, The Executive Leadership Council and Foundation Boards; 2002 – 2011, The African American Experience Fund, National Parks Foundation; 2002 – 2004, City of Chicago-After School Matters. From 1994 – 2004, she served as Founder and Executive Board Member of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF). Highlights of Ms. Robinson’s recognitions include CIO Review magazine – Top 20 Technology Consulting Providers for the Public Sector; Financial Times Agenda 100 Group, NYSE Moving the Needle, Independence Blue Cross of Philadelphia Supplier Excellence Award, The RoadTrip Nation Entrepreneur, March Magazine Entrepreneur Spotlight, The Network Journal – 25 Influential Women in Business, Top African-Americans in Technology, Black Women in Finance – U.S. Chamber of Commerce and U.S. National Guard Civic Leader European Tour.

Ms. Robinson attended Harvard University’s, Executive Advanced Management Program, where she was elected President of her class. She received a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Grambling State University, Grambling, LA. She and her husband, E. O’Neal Robinson, reside in Chicago, Illinois.

 

 
Sandor-Williams.pngSandor Williams is a responsible for managing and directing employees of the Smart Grid Programs department and developing business cases for emerging technologies, guiding the Community of the Future Initiative and implementing busines transformation of new technologies.  Mr. Williams previously held positions as the Manager Mapping & Records Department where he oversaw the mapping and work management for all work requiring modification and maintenance to the electrical maps for the distribution system at ComEd; and External affairs manager, responsible for developing and enhancing relationships with governmental officials to resolve emergent issies in an effective and timely manner to result in a positive impact to customer satisfaction.  

Prior to his position as External Affairs Manager, Mr. Williams held numerous management positions for over twelve years in the areas of civil engineering sustainability, information technology, business development and community relations consulting company's.

He currently serves as a Board Member for Circle Urban Ministries; member of the Business Leadership Council Emerging Leaders, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.

Mr. Williams is currently President of the Exelon African American Resource Alliance and most recently served as Vice President and its Treasurer.

Mr. Williams holds a M.B.A. from Roosevelt University, bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University - Carbondale.  He is also a LEED AP recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council.
