Soni Omontese

Soni Omontese is an environmental scientist who gained a BSc and MSc degree in Geology from the University of Port-Harcourt, Nigeria in 2014. He also obtained a Program Diploma in Project Management from the International Business Management Institute, Berlin Germany. In 2018, Soni worked with a joint mission of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the Economic Community of West African States Commission. His areas of expertise involve land suitability studies, soil mapping and soil testing for agriculture and construction. Due to his passion for education and learning, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Soil Science and working as a research scientist in a funded research. Also, he is contributing to the mission of National Society of Black Engineers while serving as the Region 3 Professionals PreCollegiate Initiatives Chair. Soni enjoys traveling, and has visited 9 countries. He loves local and international delicacies, poetry and songwriting.
