Deborah Dilworth is a project engineer at ABNA Engineering, Inc. She has worked as a project engineer in the Environmental Department since 2013, becoming a lead project engineer in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 2011. Currently, Deborah is studying to obtain her master degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where she is National Science Fellow. Deborah has been a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, since 2006. She has served as the NSBE St. Louis Gateway Professionals Vice Chair from 2015-2017, Pre-College Initiative/NSBE Jr. Parent Coordinator (2014-present), Assistant PCI Coordinator for 2012-2014, and Programs Chair for 2014-2015. As an undergrad she served as Purdue NSBE Publications Chair (2007-2008) and Freshman Council Chair (2006-2007). Deborah is the 2016 NSBE Region V Professional Member of the Year and 2016 St. Louis Gateway Professional Member of the Year. Her community involvement includes tutoring students at Gateway Math, Science, and Technology Elementary, participate in several forums for different organizations to promote careers in STEM, and discuss the need for diversity in STEM. Deborah currently resides in St. Louis, MO.
