CNA Corporate Scholarship 2011

OPEN TO GRADUATE STUDENTS ONLY
Purpose: This scholarship demonstrates CNA’s commitment to diversity by helping to create national exposure for CNA to potential recruits, encouraging and rewarding academic excellence and by providing a financial support mechanism for an African American college student.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Must be a financial NSBE Member
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Enrolled in graduate program for Fall 2011 or a current 1st or 2nd year graduate student.
- Major in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Political Science or other scientific and professional fields of study.
- Essay: Applicants must submit a 250-word maximum online essay/statement describing how they will use their education to make a positive impact on the African-American community, and how this scholarship opportunity will advance your career goals and benefit CNA.
- Applications will be evaluated and the recipient(s) will be selected by CNA representatives. Only applications submitted for the CNA Corporate Scholarship program will be considered for the award.
Application Requirements:
- Complete ONLINE application on NSBE IMPAK System
- Official or unofficial transcript (Spring or Summer 2010 AND Fall 2010 should be used) for verification of GPA
- Resume (Submitted during online application process)
- Essay – see above
Award(s): One (1) Scholarship for $4,500
Application Deadline: January 21, 2011
Unofficial transcripts can be emailed to scholarships@nsbe.org. Please do NOT send Degree Audits. Submissions must be transcripts with member's name, student ID and cumulative GPA listed.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST post a CONFIRMED GPA between 3.0 and 4.0 for your application to be eligible for judging. Please be sure to forward one official copy of your official transcript to the NSBE Office prior to the deadline. Only ONE official transcript is needed for ALL scholarships that you apply for.
