Leroy Callendar PCI Scholarship 2011-2012
This award is named for Leroy Callendar, an architectural engineer who funded the endowment to begin the award program. The Leroy Callendar Award is presented to two outstanding high school students (one male/one female) who have demonstrated scholastic achievement. Winners will be recognized at the NSBE Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, PA. in March 2012.
Eligibility: High school students in grades 9 through 12, who reside in the host* region (Region 2) of the 2012 NSBE Annual Convention. Applicants must be NSBE Jr. Members.
Award: Two (2) $500 Scholastic Awards
Guidelines & Judging Criteria:
- One Letter of Recommendation, which includes:
1. The relationship between the referral source and the student
2. How the student has demonstrated scholastic achievement and
community involvement
- Letter of GPA Verification from school or Official Transcript (Signed/Sealed)(Applicant will also be able to upload an unofficial transcript through online application.)
- Community Activities
- Academic Achievement
- Extracurricular Activities
