The NSBE PBS&J Corporate Scholarship Program 2011

Goal: PBS&J has a long tradition of “giving back to the communi¬ties” in which we live and work, and as the firm’s professional interests have expanded nationally, we have the opportunity to reach into more communities to make a difference. Our charitable programs supporting elementary and secondary education are raising awareness to the importance of science and technology in the class¬room and are offering financial support to students pursuing professional interests in engineering, science, and architectural professions.
Eligibility:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Current College Junior or Senior NSBE member.
- Demonstrated interest in employment with PBS&J.
- Major in Architectural, Civil, Design or Structural Engineering.
- Applicants must submit a 250-word maximum essay/statement describing how they will use their education to make a positive impact on the African-American community, and how this scholarship opportunity will advance your career goals and benefit PBS&J.
- Applications will be evaluated and scholarship recipients selected by PBS&J representatives.
Award: One (1) $2,500 Scholarship Award
One (1) $1,500 Scholarship Award
One (1) $1,000 Scholarship Award
Application Requirements:
- Transcript (Fall 2010 or later grades accepted)
- Online Essay Response
- Resume (submitted during online application process)
Online Submission Deadline: June 30, 2011
Unofficial transcripts can be emailed to scholarships@nsbe.org. Please do NOT send Degree Audits. Submissions must be unofficial transcripts with member's name, student ID and cumulative GPA listed.

PLEASE NOTE: You MUST post a CONFIRMED GPA between 3.0 and 4.0 for your application to be eligible for judging. Please be sure to forward one copy of your transcript to the NSBE Office prior to the deadline. Only ONE official transcript is needed for ALL scholarships that you apply for.
