A Day in the Life of an Intern Scholarship
Description: This scholarship is designed to reward one (1) collegiate member of Region IV who is showcasing professional success within their Internship
Requirements & Documentation:
- The deadline to apply within IMPAK is : 29 October 2011
- Must be a paid, active NSBE member
- Must show official acceptance Letter
- Letter of Recommendation or review from supervisor
- Essay: (500 Words or less)
- Interns usually begin to develop the necessary skills needed for a future professional career in their field of study. What skills, practices, or other methods have you honed while working with your company? In using these skills, how do you display professional success?
Amount: $300
Living the NSBE Mission Scholarship
Description: This scholarship is designed to reward three (3) NSBE Jr. members of Region IV whom serve as an example of what NSBE members strive to accomplish academically.
Requirements & Documentation:
- The deadline to apply within IMPAK is : 29 October 2011
- Confirmed grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 and above.
- Official Transcript must include most recent semester
- Must be a paid, active NSBE Jr. member
- Essay: (500 Words or less)
- One of the biggest issues within engineering is retaining freshman from their first semester all the way through graduation. What advice would you give to an incoming freshman in engineering to help them progress to the next year? If you were his or her mentor, how would you provide support?
Amounts:
- 1st Place: $225
- 2nd Place : $150
- 3rd Place : $75
