NSBE Region III Takeover 2015
Technical OutReach Community Help (T.O.R.C.H.) is an umbrella program of NSBE, which encompasses outreach activities that impact non-NSBE members, and NSBE members’ alike, especially pre-college youth in the African American communities. Although increasing membership may be a result of these activities. T.O.R.C.H. programs seek to provide service ahead of prompting membership.
T.O.R.C.H’s Informal Science and Engineering Education program are causal outreach activities, targeted at youth, which aim to show how science and engineering can be fun.
Purpose: To build and promote engineering exposure post-secondary education, STEM majors, and NSBE to high school students.
