Former NSBE Leadership Positions:
Chapter Membership Chair
Chapter Vice President
My Name is Andrew Galloway and I am excited to serve as your 2017-2018 Parliamentarian. I have recently graduated with a chemical engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, I work as a Process Engineer for Dow Chemical. This year I plan to help “increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community” by dedicating my time to ensuring that chapters have an updated policy and procedures, senate participation regionally and national is increased, and increasing the quantity of “pipeline” members in NSBE. I strongly believe that if we invest in the mission of the Pre-College Initiative program which is “to support and encourage K-12 participation in STEM”, the 2025 goal for NSBE will be accomplished.
Why do you love NSBE and what inspired you to join the REB?
I love NSBE for its core principles of developing leaders, empowering students to pursue academic and professional excellence, and family environment. I choose to serve on the REB this year to further the vision and mission of NSBE as well as to serve the Region through servant leadership.
