Message from the Chair

alice walkerWelcome to the website home of the Region V Alumni extension of the National Society of Black Engineers. We plan to have this site as the one stop shopping place for information about all that is going on in the mighty Vanguard region.

We are looking forward to exploring new ways to better empower our members to excel in leadership, professional development, technical excellence and community development.

The Region V Alumni Extension Vision is to engage its members in making a positive impact in the region in the areas of technical excellence, community outreach, professional development, college &  pre-college initiatives while promoting unity throughout the region thus leading the way in fulfilling the NSBE mission.

Our fully staffed executive board has taken the initiative to add two new positions to better ensure excellence this year. College Initiative will work to enable better partnership between Alumni and Collegiate throughout the region. Our unique Strategic Planning and Research Conference (SPRC) planning is already underway with the SPRC Chairperson. Needless to say the foundation for a successful TMAL and a great Professional Development Conference at the FRC in Dallas in October is already established. Be sure to mark your calendars and register early so as not to miss any of what’s in store for the region this year. Membership, Finance and Communications Zones are already in high gear, working for the success of various innovations and improvements.  As in all things we will uphold the standard of the Vanguard region in leading the way to greater excellence in the Society as a whole and in Region V in particular.

Let us know if there is any way that we can better serve you.

Get ready for a great year!
