The Regional Executive Board (REB) is the governing body of NSBE Region I. The REB is comprised of students, who the Region I members elect at our National Convention, and some appointed positions. We set policies that are in the best interest of the Region I membership. We also work with our World Headquarters staff to implement the programs and regional events for our members. The Regional Advisory Board (RAB) and the World Headquarters staff provide guidance and insight from a real life and NSBE historical perspective.
The Regional Executive Board is divided into 5 functional zones that include the Administration Zone, Chapter Zone, Programs Zone, Finance Zone, and Communications Zone. Each zone has a zone leader that directs all the activities in the respective zone and collects and compiles monthly reports from each REB member to be sent to the Regional Chair and Vice Chair. Some REB members are in more than one zone which may require them to produce 2 different monthly reports. The Admin Zone leader is the REB Chairperson, the Chapter Zone leader is the REB Vice Chairperson, the Programs Zone leader is the REB Programs Chairperson, the Finance Zone leader is the REB Treasurer, and the Communications Zone leader is the REB Secretary.
