The Institute for Chapter Development

The Institute for Chapter Development (ICD) is a year-round NSBE program designed to strengthen the chapter’s ability to grow and flourish in serving its membership.There are three main components to the ICD:

ICD Toolkit
Framework for Chapters to reference.

Measurement Tool
The measurement tool will be used by NSBE to collect data and will be how Chapter of the Year is chosen.

Continuous Programming
ICD workshops and Conference Calls

Chapters who complete both ICD submissions are eligible to compete for the following awards:

Regional Chapter Excellence Awards:
Large, Medium, and Small Chapter of the year.

National Chapter Excellence Awards:
Large, Medium, and Small Chapter of the Year - $830

Distinguished Chapter of the Year - $1,875


Report 1 of the ICD is due at 11:59 PM on November 23, 2008 and can be found on NOL at:

Report 2 of the ICD will be available from January 14, 2008 to February 15, 2009.
