WELCOME

On behalf of the 2009 - 2010 Regional Executive Board and Regional Alumni Executive Board, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2009 Regional Leadership Conference! This year we are returning to St. John's University located in Queens, New York.

This year's theme for our Regional Leadership Conference is "Recess Over: Back to Basics". This theme is the representation of the need to return to the basics of what NSBE is all about. We want to focus on what makes our organization successful, which is our chapter leadership. The focus of this year’s RLC is supplying the basic leadership tools to the chapter leadership to guarantee a successful year not only as leaders but as students and professionals

The workshops are structured to train each leader within their respective positions and prepared to guarantee your chapter is a success. We will also strive to build lasting connections between you, your fellow chapter leaders and the Regional Executive Board. The training you receive this weekend will provide the starting point for continuous leadership growth throughout the year.

The vast wealth of information presented to you this weekend is the starting point to help you be successful throughout this year and beyond. It will be up to each leader to take this knowledge learned and apply it towards this goal. As the RLC Chairperson I am looking forward to interacting with each and every one of you at this year's Leadership Conference and working with you for the 2009 - 2010 year.
