Zone Coordinator's Welcome

Hello Terror Zone,

I am Hassan A Badru, sophomore at Morgan State University. I developed great interest in engineering as a child because both my parents are engineers. I have always been a part of engineering and technical organizations but none inspired me as much as NSBE did. I have never felt so passionate about an organization! Through my service to NSBE, I hope to see the organization rise to greater heights. I feel so privileged to be appointed as the Terror Zone Coordinator.

My purpose and drive this year is catered to sticking to the fulfillment of the regional Directives, Academic Excellence and Leadership Development. An additional goal I have  is to create a strong relationship between chapters as it is a key to accomplishing the regional directives. I also intend to create opportunities for students to assume leadership responsibilities. This would boost their self-confidence and make them inspired enough to move forward with their career.

Communication is the key word when it comes to coordinating a body.  I intend to enhance and create easier ways to keep in touch with chapters. It is imperative to hear voices of my dear NSBE members. I strongly believe in teamwork and I know that through sincere cooperation the entire organization as a team can go places. During my tenure, I hope to help revive dormant chapters, while empowering their leaders to take up challenges and becoming more independent.

Finally, it’s a great honor to serve you all this year and I look forward to working with you all. I believe in you and I know that we can all work together to fulfill NSBE’s mission. You all make NSBE what it is today.  It’s all about you!  Keep up the good work and strive to make NSBE even greater. I believe we can do it, and “YES WE CAN”.

Sincerely,

Hassan A. Badru
