What’s up Region IV? 

I am Monique D. Hutcherson, Region IV Secretary and the leader of the Communications Zone. This year is an extremely exciting year for Region IV. The Mother Region is truly showing her presence through programs like the Columbus Public Schools Initiative, remarkable membership growth, stellar conferences and effective publications. 

The main goal of the Communications Zone for 2007-2008 is to provide resourceful tools to the membership through our newsletters, email blasts and the website. We want to prevent ourselves from “re-inventing the wheel.” This cannot be done alone. We need your help! We want to hear from chapters that have executed successful programming. We want to hear from chapters that significantly expanded their membership in a single year. We want to hear from chapters that developed their members and executive boards properly as leaders. We want to hear from chapters that have effective and well-used publications! This sharing of ideas can create a POWERFUL network within our region, causing everyone in NSBE to know that Region IV is the Solid Mother Region for Life! 

As you contact the region to let us know how you are doing, please feel free to contact us to let us know how we are doing. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Our hope is that this push for resourceful publications is filtered down throughout the Collegiate and NSBE Jr. chapters so that we can perfect that which is good and correct that which can be improved. I encourage all of you to continue to work hard to reach out to other chapters and the Region to open the lines of communication and to build your network!
