Welcome home to the Mother Region, Region IV!
NSBE was made by you, exists for you and is nothing without you - the membership! Every program, event and leadership opportunity first starts with your membership within NSBE.
The National Society of Black Engineers is the largest student-managed organization in the world. Our World Headquarters is located in Alexandria, VA, and is staffed with professionals who are here to serve the society because they believe in what we as students are trying to accomplish in today's and tomorrow's society. NSBE has more than 75 pre-college, 300 collegiate and 75 alumni/technical professional chapters worldwide. NSBE has reached the milestone of over 25,000 members in 2007 and over 30,000 in 2008. By 2009, we plan on recording our highest membership numbers in NSBE history, with over 35,000 active students and technical professionals throughout the Society. So with that being said, we would like to say thank you for helping us exceed our membership goals for the region and the society as a whole for all previous and upcoming years. We offer over 2000 elected leadership positions, 12 regional conferences, and an annual National Convention that will be going international for the first time in 2010. NSBE provides opportunities for success that remain unmatched by any other organization!
It is important to Region IV that you understand the wide range of benefits that you will obtain from being a part of the largest student-managed organization in the world. This includes:

As your Region IV Membership Zone, it is our responsibility to work with chapter membership chairs within Region IV (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Central Canada, Central Africa, and Eastern Africa) to provide each member with the knowledge of all of the benefits that NSBE has to offer. Currently, Region IV's membership numbers are the highest within the Society and we support the highest percentage of NSBE Jr. Members across the organization. A new NSBE year is upon us and the goal is and will always be to complete the mission of the National Society of Black Engineers, which is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. Let's make Region IV the model region for producing the future leaders of the Society and the world.
