<description><![CDATA[The <b>Consulting Design Olympiad (CDO)</b> is a design project that challenges NSBE members to global engineering consultants, enabling them to take action around issues that affect various regions of the world, in particular the developing world. Working with their international counterparts, our North American members will develop strategies and innovative approaches to solving critical engineering problems related to three areas selected by the International Committee: Infrastructure Development, Economic Growth, and Poverty Alleviation. <br /><br /><br />The deadline for submitting your abstracts is January 15, 2008. The top ten (10) teams will be invited to present their report during the International Mini-Conference at the NSBE Convention in Orlando, Florida from March 19-23, 2008.
