July 28, 2004: Reminder From CPC Chair

Hey NSBE Leaders,

The RLC registration deadline is 5 days away!!! I might be wrong but I don't recall you registering for RLC2004 held in San Diego. The last day to get the regular registration rate is August 1st at 9:00PM PST. I have extended the deadline to accommodate what you may think is a financial burden. As a college student myself, I understand your struggles. However, missing RLC is $$Priceless$$. You won't regret it. If you have registered, I thank you and I apologize for singling you out.
The REB and I have just adjourned our final RLC meeting and are more confident than ever that you will enjoy your time down here and go back to your chapter a with a new look on NSBE Leadership. You won't find this training ANYWHERE else.
Some things to really look forward to are the Skill Development training. This type of training in the past has given me the credibility to speak on what it takes to be a leader, the NSBE Region 6 way. Preparation for the future starts August 6, 2004. Do you know where you will be in the next 5 years? Send me an email and I will tell you.

Much 6 luv,

Kederra

June 17, 2004: Message From RLC Chair

What's up 6 Fam,
Are you excited about the upcoming year representing Region 6 to the fullest? Now is the time to get prepared for leadership the NSBE Region 6 way, and boy do we have a conference jam packed with at least 6 tools that will build any industry a masterpiece.

Beginning August 6 at 6 pm in the heart of Southern California, San Diego State University, known for its fun in the sun, will host your very own Region 6 Regional Leadership Conference. An institution built for cultural diversity, it has supported its NSBE collegiate chapter for many years. The University has made its commitment to assist with the advancement of its student chapters and organizations long before NSBE and is delighted to be apart of our "Commitment to Excellence." From sponsorships to being a great source for internship opportunity, the campus incorporated the Aztec Center to support student meetings and conferences like the one we will be having this August.

The Aztec Center made up of 10 meeting rooms, classrooms, and board rooms, provides a "lets get down to business," environment. Equipped with a large ballroom, Montezuma Hall, the Aztec Center proves ideal for opening and general sessions, after hour entertainment, or even large formal dinners, if you will. Most rooms have an IN-HOUSE SOUND SYSTEM to assist with facilitator presentations. State of the art LCD projectors are also provided.

Log on to www.nsbe.org/region6/rlc2004 to find out more info as I don't want to keep you any longer. You will find out that the CPC is working hard to make this a memorable experience. Feel free to contact anyone on the Conference Planning Committee with any questions or concerns. We expect 200 or more chapter leaders to attend this conference.

See ya in Diego,
Kederra L. McDaniel II,
04-05 RLC CPC Chair
