USTR: The purpose of the competition is to encourage under-represented students to participate in technical research projects, which may lead to the pursuit of graduate and doctoral degrees in technical fields. It is also to promote interests in undergraduate research.

Technical Paper Competition: The purpose is to enhance graduate students and technical professional skills in technical writing and theoretical research. It is also an opportunity for graduate students to present their research findings. Participation in this competition can also encourage undergraduates to pursue graduate degrees.

Graduate Student Poster Session: The competition will enhance graduate students' presentation skills and give them an opportunity to present research findings.
