National Professionals Membership Chair
Eric Bryant currently serves as the 2019-21 National Professionals Membership Chairperson for the National Society of Black Engineers. He has a deep and extended history of serving NSBE in leadership on National, Regional and Chapter levels. From 2009 to 2011, he served as the Treasurer on the Region II Alumni Executive Board before being elevated to the same role on the National Alumni Executive Board from 2011-2013. Most recently, Mr. Bryant served for three years as the President of the NSBE Greater Philadelphia Professionals Chapter. Mr. Bryant holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton. While at Dayton, Mr. Bryant was also a very active NSBE member in leadership, serving single terms each as the chapter’s secretary, vice president, president, and finally as the chapter’s parliamentarian/historian.
Professionally, Mr. Bryant is a Global Process Steward for The Dow Chemical Company at its Northeast Dow Center in Collegeville, PA, just outside of Philadelphia. In this role, he has global manufacturing support responsibilities for nearly 200 different aqueous acrylic polymer products in the company’s Coating Materials; Construction Chemicals; Oil, Gas, and Mining; and Home, Institutional, and Personal Care Solutions businesses. He has been employed at Dow for 19 years and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
In his spare time, Mr. Bryant enjoys baking, playing the trumpet, and listening to jazz and classical music.
