Robert Amponsah

Robert currently works as a Director- Lead Solution Architect responsible for modernizing AT&T Business’ Service Delivery technology stack, processes, and customer experience by leading migration strategy to industry leading SaaS Platforms. Most recently, Robert worked as a Lead Customer Journey Manager responsible for improving Value Perception of AT&T’s Wireless and Broadband portfolio by addressing pain points across the customer journey. Robert also has experience as a Technical Lead on AT&T's Internet of Things organization responsible for leading product development efforts for Fleet solutions and CRM tooling, developing architectures focused on automation and integration with vendor interfaces. Robert is a graduate of AT&T’s Leadership Development Program and has held a variety of roles across the business and consumer organizations. Prior to AT&T, Robert worked at Toyota as a Quality Control Specialist where he led efforts to restructure the quality ranking system across all North American Manufacturing Plants. A native of Little Rock, AR, Robert holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He also holds a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from University of Rochester and an MBA from Texas A&M University. Robert is currently completing his second year of an Ed.D program in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University. In his studies he has explored topics like the addressing the digital divide and how to utilize design justice principles to impact oppressed groups in a corporate environment. Outside of work, Robert is very involved in his community and serves as Technology Officer for the National Society of Black Engineers Professional Executive Board (NSBE), whose mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers, who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
