Region IV Professionals Chair
Shari Briggs serves as the 2020-2021 Region IV Professionals Chair.  In her role as Regional Chair, Shari is responsible for the professional Members of Region IV, where she sets the vision for the region and serves as the liaison between the chapter Members and the National Professionals Executive Board.

In her 9-to-5, Shari is a Diversity Project Manager at Rockwell Automation.  In this role, she is responsible for diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for attraction, retention, and development of diverse talent.  Shari has been at Rockwell Automation over 9 years in multiple different roles across the organization, ranging from engineering to recruiting.

Shari’s NSBE journey began as an undergraduate at Florida A&M University, where she obtained her Mechanical Engineering degree.  At FAMU, she served as the Chapter Corresponding Secretary, Region III Secretary, and ultimately Chapter President.  Upon transitioning to a professional and moving to Region IV, Shari served as Milwaukee Area Professionals Chapter President, PCI Chair and Parliamentarian.  Following her chapter experiences, Shari ascended to the Region IV PEB as the Secretary, Chair-Elect, and now Chair.

In addition to NSBE, Shari is also an Advisory Board member of Beyond STEM, a local non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the next generation of technology creators.  Other organizations Shari serves are Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Professional Dimensions, and the African American Professionals Network (Rockwell Automation ERG).  For fun, Shari enjoys traveling (especially road trips), watching & playing football, brunch, and playing softball.
