College-Initiative Chairperson

Ciara Lynton is a Design Engineer on the Boeing Company’s SoCal Design Center Avionics Systems Team. In this role, Ciara is responsible for the development, maintenance and certification of avionics systems for various commercial airplane platforms. Since joining the company in 2018, Ciara has made employee engagement a priority. She currently serves as President of the Boeing Black Employees Association (BBEA) for Long Beach, Seal Beach and Huntington Beach and Development Lead for Boeing SoCal National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). She is a member of the Beach Cities' Diversity Council where she works with local Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to help facilitate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) for all Boeing employees.

Ciara is a proud alumna of Morgan State University where she earned a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and University of Maryland, College Park where she earned a M.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Ciara is passionate about uplifting and giving back to her community. She lives by the saying, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
