I am René Johnson. I am honored to be your regional chair for 2021 – 2022 this year.
As we thought that we were recovering from the coronavirus pandemic, the Delta Variant raised its head and threw us a loop of more pandemic concerns. Only this time, 25% of those affected are our youth! Please, please, please make sure that you are vaccinated. You are more than 11 times likely to pass from the Delta Variant if you are not vaccinated! Please reduce your health risk!
We are still holding all of our activities virtual now, but Region I and Region VI plan to hold some of their activities as hybrid events. We are planning to also combine some of our Zone meetings. We hope that you enjoy our monthly Town Hall meetings and our monthly Membership Socials. We are also planning to hold our #NSBE48 as a face-to-face event, scheduled for Anaheim, California, March 23rd - 27th, 2022!!! It will be fantastically great to see each other and spend some time together!
As we enjoy our Regional Leadership Conferences, we are also looking forward to our Fall Regional Conferences and recognition of our Graduating Seniors. They have definitely earned their degrees and our respect and our hope for their futures!
