Chandlier (pronounced Chandler) R. Richmond is a Senior Industrial & Systems Engineering student at Texas A&M University. Freshman year, Chandlier became the Vice President of the Freshman Executive Board for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and a Freshman Representative for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She later obtained an internship at Oncor Electric Utility.

Sophomore year, Chandlier served as NSBE Membership Chair and SWE Representative. Chandlier was named Reverend Jesse Jackson-Toyota Scholar, worked as a Quality Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2022, and was elected TAMU NSBE Chair/President for the upcoming academic year. Chandlier became Miss Black and Gold for the Pi Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, and uses her platform to showcase her passion for increasing the number of African American women engineers. 

Junior year, Chandlier was named Region 5’s “Most Outstanding President”, leading her chapter to win four awards at the Texas Spring Zone meeting, including Best Community Service, Most Active Chapter, and Texas Chapter of the Year. Chandlier was initiated into the Xi Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, elected Region 5 Texas Zone Chair, and became a Field Technical Operations intern at Toyota at the end of the semester.
