NSBE is organized into six regions across the country. During the fall, each region hosts a Fall Regional Conference (FRC), including a Career Fair that enables our partners to engage with and recruit local talent!

On behalf of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), we invite you to participate in our 49th Annual Convention (#NSBE49), which will take place March 22–26, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri. At this year’s Convention, we will focus on our members by supporting and strengthening the relationships among all demographics of NSBE. With your support, our members will experience programming and events designed to help them develop techniques to:

Partners can contribute to NSBE’s general scholarship fund or create a “Named Scholarship.” A Named Scholarship allows your organization to help manage the criteria for applicants and tie your organization’s brand to the gift.
The minimum donation for a Named Scholarship is $10,000, with a minimum scholarship award of $5,000. A 10% administrative fee is added to the total amount of your awards to cover the cost of administering and awarding your scholarship. All scholarship donations less than $10,000 fund the NSBE General Scholarship pool.
Cycle 1: Fall
Applications open in early September and close in early January.
Partners must sponsor a scholarship by Aug. 1.
Scholarship review and selection begin in early January.
NSBE notifies members of selection in mid-winter.
Awardees receive scholarship funds in the spring.
Recipients are recognized on stage at the next NSBE Annual Convention, in late March.
Cycle 2: Spring
Applications open in early April and close June 30. (NSBE Jr. Summer Bridge Scholarship closes June 20.)
Partners must sponsor a scholarship by March 1.
Scholarship review and selection begin in early July.
NSBE notifies members of selection in early July.
Awardees receive scholarship funds in late summer.
Recipients are recognized on stage at the next NSBE Annual Convention, in late March.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are NSBE signature programs chartered to link the Society with technology and policy and to promote technical excellence among NSBE graduate school students and technical professional members. SIGs provide a platform on which members engage in exploringand discussing areas of focus and interest. Learn more here.
